What is Mattermost?
Mattermost is a flexible, open source messaging platform that enables secure team collaboration.
XR uses Mattermost all over the world. XR Global has their own servers in Switzerland (powered by renewable energy) to provide Mattermost to every XR node all over the planet.
XR Barcelona has their own private team and you're invited to join! Not all groups are currently on Mattermost.
You can join the XR Barcelona team after attending to one of our Welcome sessions!

Team chat
A mass team-chat platform, an open-source, secure and community-owned alternative to Slack, it scales to 100s of 1000s of users.
Mattermost works with Teams, each of which has its own Channels - some public, and some private. Anyone can create a new Team and create channels. However, just as you can't see a Team you're not a member of, there are private channels you can't see either. With the exception of the xrGlobal Team you just joined, to join any other team you need to be invited.
As the xrGlobal Team is the general first-contact/landing team here on this server, generally what people do is try to find their national branch team or any topics they'd like to contribute to and/or join.
If you’d like to help another rebel join Mattermost, click on the menu next to the Team you wish to invite them to, and choose Invite People. Then click on Copy Link, and give that link to whomever you’d wish to invite.
